Co-founder & Director
Eng. Mohamed Elamen
Mohamed is an experienced civil engineer in private, government, research, and humanitarian and development sectors in areas of water governance and water engineering especially open flow infrastructures design for water harvesting, irrigation, dams, and groundwater recharge purposes. He is also worked in disaster risk reduction particularly drought and flood risks management and adaptation. He is a skilled technical coordinator with an excellent track in leading multi-disciplinary projects that require cross-sectoral input from different scale stakeholders. Mohamed gained his M.Sc. in Water Science and Engineering, specialization: flood risk management from IHE, Delft, the Netherlands, and a hydro-science engineering degree from Technical University Dresden, Germany, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Khartoum.
Co-founder & Programs Manager
Eng. Zryab Babker
Zryab is an experienced civil engineer in areas of Water resources modeling, management & engineering with comprehensive knowledge and experience, leading multi-disciplinary development projects that require cross-sectoral input from different scales related to water and land resources management and their interactions, working closely with stakeholders and project funders. He is also a Research Associate and teaching assistant at the Institute for Technology and Resources Management in the Tropics and Subtropics, University of applied science - Cologne, Germany. Zryab gained his M.Sc. in Integrated Water Resources Management from the University of Applied Science - Cologne, Germany, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Khartoum.

Eng. Yasir Hageltom
Yasir is a civil engineer specialized in hydrology and water resources with over 10 years of professional working experience in national and international development projects. He holds an M.Sc from IHE Delft, Netherlands, in Water Science and Engineering with specialization in Hydro-informatics and modeling techniques, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Khartoum.
During his career, he has served as a team leader/or technical expert on various research and consultancy projects and acquired practical experiences in several areas including hydrology, water resources planning and management studies, decision support systems, river morphology, remote sensing applications, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling. Yasir has been regularly involved in lecturing, capacity building, and on-the-job training during his assignments.
Environmental, Sustainability & Social Impact Associate
Eng. Bashir Elsamani
Bashir is a vibrant Chemical Engineer, with possessing knowledge of Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Waste Management, Carbon Footprint, Climate Change, and GHG Inventory. He also has excellent experience in Industry and project Management. Bashir gained his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Khartoum.
Civil & Water Resources Engineer
Eng. Rayan Elhaj
Rayan is a civil engineer specialized in Hydrology and Water Resources with an academic and professional experience of about 5 years. She gained a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Khartoum, Sudan, and an MSc in Water Science and Engineering - Hydrology and Water Resources from IHE-Delft, the Netherlands. Her study and work experiences enabled her to gain multi-disciplinary knowledge, combining water science and engineering, water resources management, as well as WASH awareness and community engagement programs. Rayan is specialized in remote sensing, hydrological and hydraulic modeling, with a good experience in water supply systems, water harvesting projects, and water quality assessment. She has an extensive experience in contaminant transport and saltwater intrusion modeling in groundwater. Rayan is also a lecturer/researcher at the UNESCO Chair in Water Resources in Sudan, where she provides consultancies in the field of water resources, as well as lecturing masters’ students and providing capacity building programs."
Electrical & Machine Learning Engineer
Eng. Moayed Hassan
Moayad is an electrical and machine learning engineer with experience in the energy and business sectors. He has published work on maximizing microgrid benefits using energy trading and its applicability in rural Sudan. He also worked on analyzing Africa's innovation performance and drafted policies that governments can take towards increasing the performance in their localized context. Moayad gained his Bachelor of Science degree in Electric Engineering from the University of Khartoum, and he is currently undergoing his master studies at Carnegie Mellon University on the MS of Engineering Artificial Intelligence with a focus on utilizing the technologies of AI&ML in solving engineering problems in Africa.
