RICOS Consulting is an independent consulting company that compromises highly qualified technical staff with international experiences covering different disciplines. Our mission is to provide cutting-edge consultancy services, design, project management, solution-oriented research studies, and capacity-building programs in water, energy, and environment to enable sustainable development.
RICOS Engineering is owned and managed by Sudanese engineers and technical personnel. The company employs experienced national and international staff to undertake its normal core activities. Whenever a project requires a specialist discipline, additional staff with a high level of expertise are engaged for the duration of specific projects. The firm has access to a long-lasting cooperation with a long list of professionals in different fields. In addition, it has a vast network and working relations with research centers, universities, and organizations at the national, regional, and international scales.
Our clients include governments, the private sector, and both national and international NGOs.

Eng. Mohmed Elamen
Co-founder & Director
Mohamed is an experienced civil engineer in private, government, research and humanitarian & development sectors in areas of water governance and water engineering especially open flow infrastructures design for water harvesting, irrigation, dams, and groundwater recharge purposes. He has also worked in disaster risk reduction particularly drought and flood risks management and adaptation. Mohamed gained his M.Sc. in Water Science and Engineering, specialization: flood risk management from IHE, Delft, the Netherlands and a hydro-science engineering degree from Technical University Dresden, Germany
He is a skilled technical coordinator with an excellent track in leading multi-disciplinary projects that require cross-sectoral input from different scale stakeholders.
Eng. Zryab Babker
Co-founder & Programs Manager
Zryab is an experienced civil engineer in areas of Water resources modeling, management & engineering with comprehensive knowledge and experience, leading multi-disciplinary development projects that require cross-sectoral input from different scales related to water and land resources management and their interactions, working closely with stakeholders and project funders. He is also Research Associate and teaching assistant at the Institute for Technology and Resources Management in the Tropics and Subtropics, University of applied science - Cologne, Germany. Zryab gained his M.Sc. in Integrated Water Resources Management from the University of Applied Science - Cologne, Germany, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Khartoum.
Eng. Yasir Hageltom
Co-founder & Technical Lead
Yasir is a civil engineer specialized in hydrology and water resources with over 11 years of professional working experience in national and international development projects. He holds an M.Sc. from IHE Delft, Netherlands, in Water Science and Engineering with specialization in Hydro-informatics and modeling techniques, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Khartoum.
During his career, he has served as a team leader/or technical expert on various research and consultancy projects and acquired practical experiences in several areas including hydrology, water resources planning and management studies, decision support systems, river morphology, remote sensing applications, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
Yasir has been regularly involved in lecturing, capacity building, and on-the-job training during his assignments.
